About the trip

The Cairngorms National Park is the largest national park in Britain, and one of the least travelled corners of Scotland. You ride through ancient Caledonian pine forests and remote glens, where you’re more likely to meet a red deer than another cyclist.

Choose between a 9-day version (7 cycling days, 531 km) starting and finishing in Inverness, or a 6-day version (4 cycling days, 299 km) from Aviemore to Pitlochry. Both include an arrival and departure day.

Gravel tracks, forest roads and quiet highland country lanes alternate throughout. In the evening, a dram in a village pub, often with the distillery just around the corner.

Scotland has open access rights, a vast network of historic trails and a warm welcome in every village. It’s also one of the best places in Europe for dark skies and bothy nights.
