Guest Reviews

‘Loved absolutely everything about the property. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable and cozy, Walking into a beautiful warm house after a day skiing in Glenshee was an absolute bonus! (The heating was already on). Fully equipped kitchen, everything you need! Such comfortable beds. Quiet, peaceful area. Location fabulous. A quaint wonderful town, has everything you need in walking distance with the most friendliest people. Markus a great host, any questions were answered straight away with information in abundance. We will definitely be returning!‘ Joanna

‘The property is a true home from home. It is warm and welcoming, with everything you need – very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, towels and bed linen provided. There are plugs galore, including by the beds! Two bedrooms are doubles with ample storage for clothes, and can easily fit an airbed in either. The middle room has a single stacked bed – we separated these and they both fit comfortably in the same room. The living room has comfortable seating, a tv, and games for children and adults. There are two bathrooms, one downstairs with a brilliant shower (I am going to miss it!) and another upstairs with a shower over bath. The house is located in a courtyard and is very quiet. There is no parking, but you can park for free on the street just outside the courtyard (commercial street) or in the market square car park (free for 72hrs, there is also an EV charger in this courtyard – 22kw). A special thank you to the owner, super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Really appreciated the communication with clear instructions to check in and out! The local community in Alyth is utterly wonderful – everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The Alyth Traditional fish and chip bar has outstanding food – highly recommend! Alyth is in a wonderful location and is beautiful. There is a huge choice of activities, we particularly enjoyed the Den o’ Alyth which has a fantastic playpark and woodland walks. We saw lots of red squirrels, deer and birds of prey. Would also recommend the cafe at Alyth Cyclery for a warm welcome and the best soup ever! If it isn’t obvious, we really loved our stay and will absolutely be back – the property is a hidden gem, in a hidden gem of a town!’ Kat
