Event Details

Bikepacking is a new form of long-distance cycling, where all your belongings are strapped in bags on the bike. The main difference to conventional cycle touring with panniers is the ability to explore much more than you can imagine. The secret to bikepacking is to pack less, and enjoy more.

In this in this 2-hour workshop Jay and Markus will share their bikepacking secrets with you. Learn how to prepare for a bikepacking trip, which bike to choose, where to find your perfect route, how to pack efficiently, how to plan your own trip and much more.

Learn the tips and tricks from Bikepacking Scotland’s Jay Lamb and Markus Stitz in a workshop and a guided ride. Markus, a round the world singlespeed cyclist, has designed multiple bikepacking routes in Scotland, including the Capital Trail, Central Belter, Wild About Argyll Trail and Reiver Raid. Jay is an experienced cyclist and outdoor instructor and has worked with Markus on designing the Central Belter.
